Year 8 pupils put Bruno’s Dad on trial for the death of Bruno. Pupils had to form a case for the prosecution and the defence. The jury found the defendant guilty.
Year 8 had a visit from a Jewish lady called Penny this morning. She told them all about the Jewish religion which ties in with the work the pupils have done on WW2.
Year 8 pupils took part in the balloon race challenge. They showed great cooperation and communication skills.
Year 8 pupils experienced what it was like in the concentration camps in WW2. They were made to work by Nazi soldiers. They were only given half a slice of bread and a cup of water.
Year 8 met some people from the refugee council. They discussed what a refugee and asylum seeker are and how they might feel coming to our country and they wrote them a message of support.
Year 8 pupils hot seated Shmuel and asked him what it was like to live in the ghettos.
Year 8 pupils experienced what it was like to be Jewish and put in the ghettos by the Nazi soldiers.
Today year 8 pupils had to pretend they were being evicted from their homes by the Nazis. They had to complete the suitcase challenge by packing the items in the suitcase in the correct order and putting them in the correct place. Pupils had to see who was the fastest and see if they could beat their fastest time.
Year 8 pupils worked with Jas Singh to make a commi – tree to show how they are all unique but how we can work together as a class community.
Pupils in Year 8 and Primary 3 worked together to complete the marshmallow tower challenge. Primary pupils and KS3 pupils showed great co operation and kindness to each other.
