Mexico

We imagined we were spies trying to find out about Mexico with images. We then put some into Pic Collage and drew the binocular frames in preparation for own art next week.

Let’s write a story!

This week, Jack and primary 3 have been writing their own ghost story.

Royal Wedding Breakfast

Primary Springwell Barnsley have celebrated tomorrow’s Royal Wedding with a special wedding breakfast. We have been learning about the wedding in class and today had a party to mark the occasion. Lots of pupils were in their smart wedding outfits and we ate a lovely selection of food. Good luck to Prince Harry and Megan.

Royal wedding breakfast

Primary 3 dresses up and took part in our royal wedding celebration breakfast.

Lowry painting

In Primary 3 we are trying to paint in the style of L.S. Lowry. We have looked at and drawn the background buildings, today we added background washes and started filling in the distant buildings. Next lesson we will add the buildings in the foreground. Watch this space.

Cherry blossom printing and painting

We have printed a huge cherry blossom picture and painted small ones to make into fans. This is linked to our stories from other cultures theme.

Making fossils.

We have been learning about rocks and fossils for science. We learned about them, handled fossils and then we pressed objects into clay to create a space and poured plaster in to replicate fossils.

Dressing up.

We had great fun dressing and playing. It’s great fun to have a dressing up box. Mr Womersley had the best fun!

Viking artefacts

We looked at and investigated Viking artefacts. Some were east to guess, others more of a puzzle. We enjoyed dressing as vikings.
