Primary 2 have produced their own newspaper reports for the Huskar Pit Disaster in 1838. We took a trip back in time and explored the events of the tragedy and put ourselves in the shoes of a Victorian news reporter!
This week, Jack and primary 3 have been writing their own ghost story.
Next half term Primary 3 will be selling ice cream and ice pops to raise money for Refugee Council.
What a lovely settled end of term day we have had! We started with a special breakfast to celebrate our fantastic Shakespeare festival yesterday, then we had a great DT lesson and we are now playing together waiting for assembly.
This morning Primary 4 used Padlet to recap all their learning about Victorian working children.
Primary 4 have been looking at inverse operations. They have been working together to solve maths problems.
We have had such a busy week so far….all these rehearsals and the prospect of the play coming up tomorrow has made us feel a little stressed. Thankfully Mr Baker had prepared a fantastic SEAL lesson for us based on meditation, breathing techniques and mindfulness. We all had a great opportunity to relax and unwind.
